FAC Luminata 2022

Wish Fish

In collaboration with the Haus Anima art collective, Loren designed and built Wish Fish for Fremont Arts Council's 2022 Luminata-- a light parade and celebration of the autumn equinox.

Wish Fish's skeleton is sculpted from 300 feet of aluminum wire. It is filled with bubble wrap, cotton batting, strips of LEDs, and a custom PCB and other electronics. It is covered with a skin of recycled curtains and 3D-printed scales. Four touch sensors shaped like scales change the lights and music inside when they are touched.
